PATIENT RESOURCES

Referrals and your appointment

All appointments with our clinic are by referral only. In Regina, the specialists are part of a pooled referral process. For more information on the pooled referral process you can visit www.sasksurgery.ca

Your primary care provider, nurse practitioner or another specialist doctor can refer you to see an obstetrician/gynecologist. You may choose to be seen by the next available specialist or a specialist of your choice. Your referral provider will need to complete a referral form for you for submission to our office.

Your Appointment

Once you are referred to us we will contact you to set up an appointment with one of our obstetricians/gynecologists.  You will be given any special instructions prior to your visit.   In some cases we do encourage or request a family member or trusted person attend your appointment with you.

Important Resources for your ongoing care
  • Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic. The Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (EPAC) is an outpatient clinic in the Women’s Health Centre at the Regina General Hospital. The clinic sees women by REFFERAL ONLY who are early (less than 20 weeks) in their pregnancy, and who are having problems such as pain, bleeding or have been diagnosed with a pregnancy loss (miscarriage).  Check this link for further information and referral forms.

  • Prenatal Care.  Pregnancy, birth, and afterwards is a time of change in your life. Family centered care is important and everyone works together to meet the needs of your family during this time. A team approach is used when giving care.  Check this link for further information on women's health programs in the Regina area.
